You sound like a wonderful person also. Sometimes, some of the service organizations such as the DAV and others will help financially. Contact them. Often people will call them, asking who needs help. I have done this in the past (called asked who needed some help and helped them). Go on internet and put in military or veteran service organizations. There are several out there. You do not have to be a member to receive services or help. I do wish you the very best.

Have you tried contacting HUD? Also, some cities/states have certain programs to help people buy housing. These are not advertised to the public. One could try to contact the city planning office or a realtor who is knowlegeable about these things. I do not know what state you live in. However, some states have special services for people with disabilities. I posted a post with some info for ADA (people with disabilities) on a previous post. Also, are you working with banks or credit unions or just mortgage companies? No, I'm not trying to be nosey, but sometimes credit unions or small entities will be willing to work with you more. There used to be a credit union called "Self-Help Credit Union" that used to help people with special issues/needs. I do not know if they still exist or not. May be one could 'google' the internet and find such one. Beware of any place that want you to put money up front, however. I pray that God will heal your husband. My husband is also a disabled veteran, he has serious, serious health issue that we are dealing with right now. I,too am military/vet. Tell your husband, I thank him for 'serving his country'. I pray all goes well for you and your family. Let me know how things go. ekikaseven
